At last the gallery is able to re-open- & to celebrate its 30th year in business – with a show of Jack Hellewell’s work entitled Jack’s travels’ opening on 12 April 2021.
Jack is one of the gallery’s best-loved artists & also had an anniversary of his own to celebrate last year—he would have been 100. He first showed with the gallery in its original premises in Grape Lane in the 1980s, & has continued ever since.
The gallery had planned a series of exhibitions in celebration last year but had hardly started on them when all had to stop. They will now take place this year, & will include many of his paintings which have never before been shown, alongside work by other of the gallery’s longstanding artists.
The gallery is Covid-safe, with plenty of space, masks & hand sanitiser available, & private appointments can be arranged if preferred. Parking available on Scarcroft Hill or Telford Terrace.
